Roound.com was a mobile web service.
But founder Rif Chia borrowed $9000 from me urgently, saying his father had died and he couldn't afford the funeral, giving me roound.com as collateral, and a promise to pay back in a month.
For over a year since then, he has not replied to any of my emails, and even lied to our mutual friend Jason Ong to say he had.
Apparently he has fled Singapore, and I've heard from many other people who he scammed in a similar way. (One asked me, “Did he say his father had died, or that his sister was in jail? Those were his two most popular scams.”)
So I'm shutting down roound.com until he pays back the $9000. He owes a lot of people a lot of money.
